Complete Firewall-Forward (FWF) packages for a variety of powerplants
Zenith Aircraft FWF Packages are designed to provide builders with a comprehensive selection of quality components with which to complete the engine installation of their aircraft. Many off-the-shelf items (fasteners, brackets, hoses, controls, etc.) are supplied as part of these complete packages. Please note that we do not sell the smaller “non-Zenith Aircraft” items separately. It is best to call a specialty-shop like Aircraft Spruce for these smaller individual items (such as fasteners, brackets, hoses, controls, sensors, etc.). For customers who already have a major component normally provided in a FWF package (i.e. the engine mount), we can remove this item from the package when you order – see below for our policy regarding “deletions” from packages.

UL POWER FWF and engines for the Zodiac CH 601XL/650 and STOL CH 750/Cruzer
You can now order a complete Firewall Forward Package (FWF) from Zenith Aircraft for UL-Power aircraft engines. These packages are available for the various configurations of the UL-260 and UL350iS engines.

Zenith Aircraft will also sell the UL-Power engines as needed, to customers and builders of Zenair kit aircraft. Note that the Zodiac CH 601XL/650 and the STOL CH 750/Cruzer all use the same firewall, so the FWF kits for these models are all the same except for the engine mount.

ROTAX Firewall Forward Packages (FWF) and engines for your Zenith Aircraft
The Rotax 912UL/ULS engine series can be installed in the STOL CH 750 & Cruzer as well as in the Zodiac CH 601/650 series. We have Firewall Forward Packages (FWF) for all these aircraft models using classic “bed-mount” engine mounts.

Zenith Aircraft now also offers a brand new FWF package for all these aircraft models for the new fuel-injected Rotax 912iS as well as the turbo-charged Rotax 914. These new packages use the Rotax “ring-mount” system.
For builders who don’t need a complete FWF Package, Zenith Aircraft can supply a number of the larger components and options for the Rotax 912 series individually. These include:

Note: Zenith Aircraft does not manufacture or supply the North American FWF for the STOL CH 701 (with “ring mount”). Builders who need this FWF (includes the vertical oil cooler) should contact Zenith Aircraft for the CH 701 FWF.

The Zenith Aircraft Titan FWF package is very similar to the Lycoming 0-360 FWF package. It is customized for the Titan IOX-370 Engine. Slight variations includes a larger cowling, larger baffles, different air intake, etc. Does not include the high-pressure fuel pump and filter (order with engine).

Corvair FWF for the STOL CH 750 or Zodiac CH 601XL/650
For builders inclined to rebuild their own engine, one of the best values and most reliable options for the Zodiac CH 650 and STOL CH 750 is the Corvair engine. Many Zenith builders are very happy with their Corvair engines, modified as per William Wynne’s instructions and top-quality components. Propellers:
For many years, Zenith Aircraft provided common brand-name fixed-pitch propellers in its Firewall Forward Packages. Now that affordable wood and/or composite propellers are readily available from so many quality manufacturers and suppliers, most of our FWF Packages no longer include a propeller. Most builders seeking to get the most performance from their aircraft (in either cruise or climb mode) will be better-served by an adjustable-pitch propeller. Getting the installation information for Zenair-provided FWF Packages:
Once you have purchased your FWF Package, you will want the instructions on how to install it. Much of this information is found in the password-protected “Builder Section” of the Zenith Aircraft Website. In addition, many more valuable drawings and photo-guides are also available through the fairly new “Documents & Manuals” area of this (Zenith Aircraft) site. Don’t attempt your engine installation without access to these resources! To get the passwords, simply follow the instructions here.
A note about “deletions” from Zenith Aircraft FWF Packages:
Please note that the above FWF packages have been conceived, produced, sold, and crated to optimize efficiency as well as the value of each package. Individual component deletions result in reduced efficiency and increased costs; credits allowed for deleted components will therefore be adjusted to reflect this. Bottom line: Customers will receive less than retail credit for deleted components (including propeller). Thank you for your understanding.
